Today we were in Wawa for our Saturday morning cup of coffee. It was then, I noticed a plastic goose behind a small frame with the wording, “Welcome Wally the Goose to 8639!”
Ever the curious blogger, I immediately took a few photos of Wally and went over to the back food prep area to ask about Wally.
We spoke with Alania, one of the store employees. She actually painted Wally the Goose. Today, Wally is all set to become the store’s mascot at store number 8639. The black, brown, white and red goose sits on the counter of the unused cashier booths in a box covered with red and white Wawa wrappers.

Wally the Goose is part of Wawa‘s 2026 Smile Campaign which is a seasonal, community focused initiative. I believe the proceeds and participation benefit a good cause.
Alania, ever so polite and gracious, told us the Smile Campaign was going to start shortly. She, also, asked if we wanted to be photographed with Wally for the store’s event.
Wow, we are definitely honored to be asked. However, my partner was only in workout clothing and Me, (ever so camera shy) sadly declined.
Ending Notes Wally the Goose
Since I love all farm animals, I definitely love Wally the Goose. He has all the makings for a great mascot. Also, a big thank you to Alania for getting into the spirt of fun and taking a few minutes to answer our questions.
