Visiting Bethesda

Today we were off visiting Bethesda located in Maryland. It was a sunny, crisp day–perfect for a quick visit and to check out the shops at the start of holiday shopping. In Bethesda, they have a lot of upscale stores with a variety of holiday merchandise from furniture, clothing, home goods, cupcakes or even holiday plants.

The parking lot we used didn’t have an attendant, but had these machines to pay the parking fee. But, please remember your parking lot number as this is required for paying.

So, we parked easily in one of the town’s parking lots.

We visited Bethesda early in the morning, so our first stop was to a coffee shop for a couple of hot coffees. It was nice having something different to try.

The town also had quite a few restaurants with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Bethesda, Maryland

According to my online research, Bethesda is a very wealthy and well-educated area of the United States. Bethesda takes its name from a local church, the Bethesda Meeting House. It is located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. People who live there generally work in government jobs or in the private sector.

It is, also, the home of the Congressional Country Club. Ok, I see a great variety of prices associated with joining this country club, so I’m not sure on the correct price. But, I think it is safe to say, it is in the thousands for a one time fee plus monthly fees.

Ending Notes on Visiting Bethesda

The thing that struck me about Bethesda, is how polite everyone is. People would take time to point you to a coffee shop or answer other questions. Also, many people held shop doors open for me and allowed me to enter first. I was very impressed with everyone there.

It makes me want to visit Bethesda again and and do more shopping.

Farmhouse Magic Blog hopes you had a good shopping weekend.
