I visited the local ReStore shop in the Reston/Herndon area and found some interesting looking antiques plus some other items.
The photograph below shows a vintage Erector Set from the 1950’s. “The World’s Greatest Toy” is an all electric automotive set. It is housed in a nice blue metal case with a little rust on it. There is a tag on the box that the contents will build the parachute jump.
Looks in good shape for a toy from the 1950’s.

Interestingly enough, Jasperware has been in continuous production since 1775.
Wow, that is a good run on a product but, then again, who doesn’t love Blue Jasperware?.

It’s always a treat to stop in the ReStore shop which is run by Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organization.
UPDATE: 11-22-2019
This week I was in the Restore shop looking around.
I noticed that the vintage 1950’s Erector Set was still there but now it was marked down to $75.
Perhaps someone will buy it as a vintage holiday gift?
