Vanity Update

Vanity Update

Wooha, let’s celebrate because I’m giving a Vanity Update today. Yes, it looks pretty much like the showroom sample. The unit fit exactly into my space of 30-inches.

It is clean and fresh looking. We also added that modern looking faucet.

Installation of New Bathroom Vanity

Our installer did a great job and things went smoothly, and he was done quickly. We had previously unpacked the vanity and faucet. Our instructions were to check everything out carefully to make sure everything was perfect. Sometimes in shipping boxes are damaged and, thus, the shipped object can be broken or marred.

First, the installer removed the old vanity and took it out to the lawn. That really didn’t take much time at all.

While the installer was putting the legs on the new unit, I went upstairs to sweep up and washed down the dust on the walls and under the unit. I like it nice and clean when something new is installed.

Interestingly, he hooked up the faucet and faucet handles to the top of the sink before he installed it. This way, he didn’t have to crawl under the sink to hook things up.

The front drawer comes all the way out, but you need to take it out carefully.

The last step was to apply small caulking here and there. Also, caulking was added around the faucet handles.

Ending Notes on Vanity Update

We love the way our new vanity looks in the bathroom. We were told it takes 24 hours for the caulking to dry so we are not using the unit until then.

Also, I noted two small screw holes in the wall which need to be repaired. It is only a slight job. Hopefully, I have some left over paint to match the bathroom wall.

Also, I’m thinking of buying some little plastic boxes to add to the top drawer to keep things clean and organized.

OK, also, thinking of buying some new towels for this bathroom.

And, so when you fix one thing, then you need another thing, and so on.

The installer recommended buying a matching backsplash for this unit. I’ll look into that; however, the ones online seem to be in the $200 range. I wonder if I can match it up exactly.

I love my new bathroom vanity. It was worth the wait. I can hardly wait to start splashing around in that sink. Quack – Quack!!
