So, this week we heard from Trail Divia commenting that she enjoyed my year’s Mother’s Day blog but, in fact, I also enjoyed her story of the Vanishing Butterfly on Mother’s Day.
Trail Divia’s Vanishing Butterfly Tale
On Mother’s Day she noticed a small butterfly on one of her windows. Not wanting to kill it, she decided to trap it and take it outdoor. She found an old jar with a screw type lid to capture the butterfly in.
Fortunately, she was able to get the small butterfly into the jar without injuring it. Then, outside she went to release it. The butterfly crawled up to the lip of the jar ready to fly away. Then, “POOF” it disappeared just like a vanishing butterfly in a magical act. She didn’t see it fly off.
She couldn’t figure out where it went. At first, she thought maybe it flew on her clothing. After checking her clothing, she found nothing.
Strangely she joked could this be “a sign” from her mom? Her mom passed away years ago and thought this was her way of saying “hello”.

Concluding Remarks
Of course, there are some things that we can never explain in this life.
A girl pal once told me that it was night, and she was trying to find a hospital in DC but was lost. She pulled up to a car to ask directions. They were able to direct her to the hospital. But when she looked in the rear-view mirror, the car was gone. She had no idea of where it could have turned off. She got a strange feeling about things and how she got help when she needed it.
As so like the vanishing butterfly perhaps there are some things that are hard to explain.
And, so again, we have to wish all moms a belated Happy Mother’s Day, no matter where you are.
