Used Clothing Sold in Big Retail Stores
I read an interesting article in the paper the other day about big retail stores that are selling used clothing, shoes and handbags in their stores along with new items.
Consumers buy used clothing because it is not only cheaper but also eco-friendly.
Everyone wants good prices on fashion.
Big retail stores clean and repair the used clothing before placing it for sale on the floor.
Farmhouse Magic Blog believes the smart shopper should have a collection of both new and used clothing in their closets.
The above photograph shows a collection of items I pulled from my closet which were purchased second hand, but not from a big retail store.
In summing up, I think big retailers are giving the public what they want. This, also, gives clothing a second chance for life. No one wants used clothing to end up in dumps or land fills.
If fashion is king then second hand clothing is queen.
