Two Dollars

I want my two dollars back; please let me explain. Last Saturday, I decided to vacuum out the car. I noticed a nearby car vacuum which needed eight quarters to operate. I checked at the bottom of my change purse and, actually, had eight quarters to put in the slot.

Non Operating Car Vacuum

Imagine my annoyance, after putting in two dollars in quarters and pressing all buttons, that the car vacuum did not work. So now what, who is going to reimburse me, right? And, my car floor remains dirty.

Doing What is Right?

Some people in my household think think losing eight quarters is nothing. In the scope of things, it would buy about a half cup of coffee.

But that is not the point. How many people put money in that machine, that didn’t work? How many people got nothing for their money?

If you don’t think you got a fair deal, regardless of how much money is involved, you should point it out and ask for a refund.

Ending Notes on Two Dollars Blog

Is it not worth the effort? Probably to some but not to me. Today I wrote an email to the office that is in charge of this broken car vacuum asking for my money back.

Well, guess what, I immediately heard from this office within a couple of hours. They are putting in a request to get the machine serviced and also looking into getting me a refund.

Now, this the part of the blog where it is a bit strange. I responded back to the nice office gal telling her it is great that the broken machine is going to be serviced. But, I also, told her not to worry about the money. Thinking, I was a bit over zealous asking for a refund of only two dollars.

So, what is the point of today’s blog, always be reasonable to those trying to help you out. It’s best to go with a sugar attitude instead of vinegar.

Happy Day Everyone!
