The tale of two azaleas starts with my landscaping project this winter. Because we wanted to get a head start on the spring season, we actually did our landscaping over the winter months. Plus, we had that leaning pine tree near the road which needed to be cut down.
As soon as spring comes then everyone in town wants to get their landscaping done, so it great to get a early start.
Two Azaleas – One Equals Two
Thinking about it, this is the only time when one azalea equales two azaleas. How is that possible you ask?
Well, it started out that the landscaper was going to move one large azalea from the front of the house. This large white azalea grew too large for its original spot. I had to constantly trim it back away from the windows and house. Also, it would grow right up the ledge of the house. Then, the house siding would get dirty and moldy.

However, our smart plant loving landscaper said that we could move the azalea to the back fence area and recycle it. The plant would be able to grow as large as it wanted to in that new site. What a great idea to re-plant this azalea, so we went ahead with the plan.
Imagine my surprise, when it was discovered that the one azalea was actually two plants which were planted very close and grew together. So, the landscapers carefully pulled the two azaleas apart and kept a good-sized root ball for each plant. And that’s the tale of how one azalea became two.
Ending Notes on Two Azaleas Blog
Now, my two azaleas are full of delicate blooms this spring season, so I’m enjoying the first brush of sunny and warmer days.
Enjoy your day and your azaleas, (that is if you are lucky enough to own one or two).
