It’s easy to get caught up in the cycle of spending for something you don’t really need or want. It’s easy to do while out shopping in the second hand stores. Everything is so reasonably priced. Then you come home with something and you think to your self “what was I thinking?” when I purchased that.
We all have a limited amount of money and time to spend on shopping for goods and services. You need to make every dollar count.
I’ve decided to blog on a few things you should NOT buy when secondhand shopping.
For example, I’m not sure if you would get much use of the above blue hat. The blue knitted hat has a scary looking face with a messy red grin. This is definitely not for children.
Assorted Ash TraysIf you are a smoker or have a smoker in the house, then these ash trays might be useful.
However, I think the worst 30th Anniversary gift I can think of, would be an ash tray with that imprinted on it.
Happy 30 Year Anniversary and all I get is an ash tray?
I also avoid most electronics, puzzles with missing pieces, and any thing with a mysterious stain on it.
Before reaching for that wallet, ask yourself the following questions?
Why I do I want it?
Will it be useful in my home?
Will it be used for a gift?
Is it worth the money?
Only then should you take out your cash and pay for the item.
How to get rich quick. . .
Have your ever thought of selling all or part of Your collection?
At a grocery store over the weekend, I saw a shopper pay for his purchase using only his phone. I guess he added some type of banking APP to it. Interesting.

The hat with the scary face is the Joker character from Batman. If I bought that cap, I would give it a good washing just to make sure it’s clean and lice-free before I stuck it on my head. I’d also like to comment that most of the people I know don’t even carry paper money any more, they use their credit cards for all purchases.
