Signs of Fall – My Favorite Season
We all have our favorite season with fall being mine.
The temperatures dip again to the comfortable range. After that first heavy frost, all the bugs are gone except for those sneaky spiders and crickets which constantly try to dash into my warm house. The large maple trees on my property seem exhausted from the summer heat and start to shed their multicolored leaves.
This photograph I took is of rows and rows of chrysanthemums labeled with “sunset colors.” The flowers seem ready to burst into colorful blooms.
The below photographs are of my community pool.
An unusual first for me, is that I offered the large pine trees on my property to the White House to be used for their Christmas displays. I wonder if they will take me up on my offer? My backyard pine tree is over six feet in circumference; not sure how tall it is. “Come and get it, I don’t deliver,” is all I can say.
