Here we go again, as our technical film director enters Richmond’s 48-Hour Film Project. The film project runs from July 8-10th, 2022.
So it is a mad, mad dash to write the script, get costumes and props together, and film the project. Lastly, the film editors add music, special effects, animation, credits, etc.
The completed film project must be submitted before Sun., July 10th, before 7:30 p.m. to be considered for prizes.
I believe this is the 8th time our technical video director has entered this project but I think it is his first time in the Richmond, VA contest.
Of course, it is not all fun and games during the filming. The 7-minute film has to meet certain requirements such as file type, resolution, aspect ratio, pixel rate, interfacing, and audio codec.
To make sure no one begins the film project prior to the kickoff time, each film must have the required elements:
- Character: Brad or Barbara Chensen, Magazine Editor
- Prop: A Bucket
- Line: “That’s just terrific” or “That is just terrific”.
The required elements are different in every city the 48-Hour Film Project is held in.
The film directors also randomly select the genre of the film they will produce. This time, our film director is working with comedy or climate. It can be one or the other genre or even both. It is up to each film director how the film will progress.
Ending Notes on Richmond’s 48-Hour Film Project
Have a great time filming.
Good luck to the Fired Security Guards film crew and to all the other teams. May the Best Film win.
Once again, Lights, Camera and Action!
