Pumpkin Ice Cream

I’m not a particular fan of pumpkin pie for dessert; however, I’m totally in awe of these pumpkin pie ice cream bars. I placed a box of this frozen treat in my shopping cart over the weekend to try them out. The last time I tried pumpkin ice cream it was so sweet, I tossed it out. To me it tasted like pure brown sugar and pumpkin.

However, I was pleasantly surprised with my pumpkin pie ice cream bars.

Taste Test

First of all, the pumpkin ice cream bars I purchased are organic. Who doesn’t love the fall flavors of pumpkin, cream, and fall spices?

Let’s see smooth pumpkin puree flavored up with organic cinnamon, cloves, ginger and nutmeg extracts. All those flavors are made even better with organic milk, sugar and cream.

I was surprised that the ice cream bar cookie was not chocolate. But it all works nicely with this blondie sandwich cookie.

Wow, I could really taste the spicy flavors in this ice cream product. Each bar contains 180 calories, total fat 7 grams, 60 grams of calcium and total carbohydrates listed as 28 grams.

Ending Notes

Unfortunately, it looks like this is a limited-edition item only available during this time of the year.

So, I guess I’m going to have to get in all the flavors of this treat while I can still purchase them.

Usually, I have apple pie for our Thanksgiving dinner dessert. However, for this year I might have to offer these ice cream bars, too.

Years ago, I remember hearing that one teacher loved this flavor of ice cream. It was hard to think that a pumpkin could make a creamy delicious dessert so much better.

But, yes, another great use for the orange pumpkin.

Something to Think About this Holiday Season

Enjoy that pumpkin pie but, also, try other pumpkin desserts.
