Today here at Farmhouse Magic Blog we want to wish all our Readers a Happy Pi Celebration Day!
In case you are wondering what Pi Celebration Day is, I, too, was a little in the dark about this holiday. Pi Celebration Day was a great topic for our blog, so I did some research on it.
We celebrate Pi Day on March 14th, (3.14 or the first three numbers in Pi). Pi represents a constant–the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. In math, there are so many things we couldn’t do without Pi so it is very important.

Ways to Enjoy Pi Celebration Day
- Dine on fruit pies, cream pies, pizza pies, or Pi cookies with the Pi symbol. The above photograph shows a cookie with the Pi symbol on it.
- Have a Pi discussion.
- Hold a Pi recitation competition.
- Throw pies.
- Have a pizza pie party, (Ok, this is FMB’s idea of a fun Pi day)

In 2009, the United States House of Representatives supports the designation of Pi Day.
So enjoy your Happy Pi Day and many more. You don’t have to be a mathematician to celebrate Pi Day.
