Yesterday I received this white orchid as a gift. It is certainly lovely, in fact, it doesn’t look real as every leaf and flower is perfect.
I remember my mother having a purple orchid plant I believe someone gave her. It never flowered after that first time but it was always something special to her.
For, now I am trying to figure out how much sun it will like and what would be a good location for the plant.
It seems to be a pretty easy to care for plant only needed a half cup of water per week.
The above photograph shows the orchid posed on a vintage chair in my bedroom.
In the end, I decided to place the orchid in dappled light in my family room. Too much light will turn the leaves brown or sunburned.
I was told this orchid’s classification is Phalenopsis and more information can be obtained from the American Orchid Society.
I found this green Studio square dish to display it on which is about perfect for the setting.

The Yard is in Bloom!
Hosta Near Rock Planters on Patio Purple Azaleas Under MaplesMy yard is awash with a variety of greens and purples.
My azaleas started to boom on the hill around the patio.
The hostas in my yard are pushing through to the surface.
Everything is bright and new.
