Autumn Walk

Neighborhood Walk

So, I was out for a neighborhood walk when I noted several fall and Halloween decorations.

Believe it or not, it’s the beginning of October and I still have my air conditioner on. It’s been too hot for too long, and then all of a sudden it is October. I really need to get motivated and get some things accomplished.

Halloween Lawn Decorations

I noted one lawn with a large grouping of orange inflatable pumpkins. Each pumpkin features a different facial expression. There was even one orange gourd looking surprised.

Seven blowup pumpkins plus a BOO sign.

However, this garage door covering is a new and fresh idea. The sheeting shows a scary night-time scene complete with a metal gate and evil-looking jack-o-lanterns. The sky, also, has a couple of large black bats. I guess the sheeting is somehow taped or tacked to the garage door, but it definitely gives an eerie appearance.

Fabulous Front Door in a Neighborhood Walk

This front door really has a lot of items to look at for both fall and Halloween.

Let’s see, there is a full-sized skeleton hanging from the front door. The wooden door has a grape vine wreath on it with skeleton hands. There are also some real pumpkins and mums about.

The whole look is cohesive and very clean looking.

I briefly spoke with a very nice lady about her decorations, and I told her I liked the copper tone bucket pumpkins, (in front of the RIP gravestone). Thank you for also flying the US flag.

I like it when people take the time to decorate their front doors for the season. This door really has a little bit of everything.

The two purple mums are about to bloom soon.

Orange Yellow Fungus

What could be more appropriate for the season than this orange yellowish fungus growing on a green lawn? I think there might have been a tree removed from this area and perhaps the fungus is growing on old tree roots.

Unfortunately, I am unable to tell you the name of this fungus, but it looks neat and grows in bunches.

Ending Notes on a Neighborhood Walk

I hope my neighborhood walk gives my Readers some decorating ideas for their own homes.

As it gets nearer and nearer to Halloween, more decorations will be placed in the yards.

But for now, enjoy the season and get the Trick or Treat candy ready.
