Middleburg on Monday

Early this morning, I was checking out things to do this President’s Day holiday. We decided to visit Middleburg on Monday. It was the last day of special sales for the town. Of course, if you have been following Farmhouse Magic Blog, you know I always love to visit sales and antiques stores. Never know what you will find.

Monday at Middleburg Trip

It is a lovely drive from where we live to Middleburg–lots of country side and horse country. When we arrived in Middleburg, it was a little difficult to find a parking spot because others had the same idea of visiting this small town. They have a couple of parking lots plus they have on the street parking. The lots were full. However, we were able to find a nice spot near the end of the town.

This white water tower was noted near our parking spot.

While my partner went off to find a coffee shop, I decided to browse some of the unique shops and antique stores.

Lawn Jockeys

I noticed colorful lawn jockeys in front of some of the shops. Some had plaques on them. It looks like they might be been part of some prize for winning an equestrian event. Cute idea for your front lawn or door.

The town has quite a few nice restaurants to dine at. However, It was too cold to eat outdoors but a few places had some outside dining tables.

Middleburg has lots of antique shops. This particular shop was having a sale on some of their antique items which were display on the front step.

Middleburg on Monday

The brick sidewalks of Middleburg gives it an old town feel.

I spent a few minutes looking at this mini street display in one store window. The detailing on the doors and windows of the shops is very precise. I, also, love the snowy scene of a winter’s day.

Ending Notes on Middleburg on Monday Blog

We enjoyed getting away from town for an afternoon and visiting Middleburg. It is definitely horse country, so you see a lot of equestrian related merchandise.

Unfortunately, when I, also, wanted to get some coffee, the coffee shop had closed. So, we returned home after visiting this quant town and had a nice drive home.
