There are many times in my house, that I don’t have an extra stove burner to cook my fresh corn.
For those times, I use my microwave. I first remove the corn husks.
Then I cut off both ends of the cobs to give it a neater appearance.
Fresh Corn on the Cob
Corn Cob Wrapped in Damp Paper Towel
Wrap each corn cob in a piece of dampened paper towel.
I then microwave the corn for about 5 to 10 minutes. The steam from the damp paper towels cooks the corn.
My microwave is approximately 35 years old and doesn’t have the wattage of some of the newer models out there. So I generally microwave my corn for a little bit longer.
Also, of consideration is if your corn on the cob is farm fresh or has been in the refrigerator. If it has been in the refrigerator, then allow for more time to microwave.
Composting Corn Husks
Don’t Forget to Compost the Corn Husks.
Did You Know that . . .
Yesterday our state made Juneteenth a permanent paid state holiday.
Today the Smithsonian National Museum of African America History and Culture, also, offered a program entitled, “Juneteenth: A Celebration of Resiliency”.

Cara,
Not sure what type of information you can get from sidewalk sales for use in your presentation? Are you a personal shopper?
Have a great day.

Curtis,
Thank you for the kind comments on our blog. However, we do not have any clients at this time just readers. Thanks for asking.

Goldie,
Sorry I didn’t do much “research” on saving the baby bunnies. I generally do not like to touch a baby animal in case the mother comes back. Enjoy your day.
