Making Fresh Holiday Wreaths

At my favorite garden center, I noticed a couple of employees making exquisite wreaths.

One wreath was displayed in an old window frame hanging from the ceiling of the greenhouse.  The edge of the window frame was decorated with a swag of greenery and red ribbon.

The wreath looked very festive.

Notice the magnolia leaves in the above bucket photograph.

The side photograph shows the draining wreaths after they have been dipped in a preservative solution and left to dry.  The solution actually looks milky white in color but dries clear.

You can see the large vat of it below the dripping wreaths.
