Faux Food Donations
Today I found these great faux food items in a second hand store which will be donated to one of my favorite historic homes.
The wheel of cheddar cheese I bought for a dollar at a resale store will be donated to my “plantation” home. The cabbage head was purchased for $2 at one of my favorite charity stores and will also be donated that to the same “plantation” home.
The white pumpkin I purchased for one dollar. It was detailed and donated to the historic farmhouse.
I am keeping the blown glass bird. It was very inexpensive but it is quite lovely to look at.
And so, ends my shopping trip to the junk store. I think I got some real deals in faux food. Purchasing faux food new is often very expensive so I think I saved quite a bit of of money by shopping in second hand stores. Before donating an faux food item, I carefully wipe and wash it.
July 24, 2019 – UPDATE
I placed the junk store glass bird on my living room side table. Not sure if I like this placement or not. I am afraid that I will push him over when I turn on/off the lights.
