I recently took a typical trip to the junk store.
There are certain things I always look for, so I check out those sections first. For example, I like to look at the donated art work to see if anything catches my eye. Never buy any art work that you don’t personally love.
Anyway, here is what I found on my shopping trip. Two new decorative canvas pillow cases from an upscale store with the tag still on one. The junk store priced them at only .99 cents each. I know what these are priced when they are new and it is much more than .99 cents, (approximately $15 to $25 each). I also found a new, still in the plastic, camera flotation strap device so that you can hook your camera, binoculars, etc., to it and it will float if you happen to drop them in a body of water. The flotation strap was priced at $2.99. It would probably be closer to $6.00 if I purchased it in a retail store.
The place I shop at is a charity so I always allow them to round up to the next dollar.
I went home, took the tags off things, and hand washed the pillow cases. I then went on line and ordered two Pottery Barn deluxe feather pillow inserts for the “new” pillow cases from that upscale store. Pillow inserts cost $27 for two but free shipping. A touch of luxury is always nice even at bargain prices.
