January Junk Store Trip
I had no plans to go “junking” today but guess what my car knows the way and before I knew it, I was there.
My original plan was to get a part to repair the toilet.
This is a photograph of a Capodimonte Porcelain clown figure with flowers.
The shop tag still attached. It was only $10.00 but there is a note it is “as is” so beware is the key word here. I believe it had a few small chips in it.

Capodimonte Porcelain was originally made in Naples, Italy. They are known for their soft-pastel colors and figurines.
There is a Capodimonte Museum in Naples, Italy. The museum would be an interesting place to visit.
That front price tag misspelled Capodimonte.
This photograph shows a vintage lined storage chest.
The wood on the outside looked like it had been stripped for some reason.
The inside has a very pretty flowered lining to it. Obviously very old.

I like the look of this modern wine storage rack in the shape of a vintage bicycle.
It would be nice to keep in the living room or other area where you serve wine.
I almost bought it myself but I need to de-clutter not bring more items home.
The is a vintage art work beautifully framed. It is a still life of green grapes, half a coconut, a book, and a couple of beer steins.
The frame is unusually shaped and quite ornate.

I don’t think the plate hanger is for sale but it displays three nice plates.
To the side there is also a large stack of cardboard storage boxes.
You could store quite a few items in these boxes. Not sure if I would keep them all stacked up in a tall column.
The junk store always has a good selection of dishes and china on display.
So ends my shopping trip. What did I buy?

So What did I Buy?
I know all my Farmhouse Magic Blog Readers are looking for bargains.
I think I found good prices on a couple of items I could use.
With Valentine’s Day nearing, I needed a few items to make the day special.

The above photograph shows a Valentine’s Day dinner setting for two which includes placements, coasters, napkins rings and a pack of heart shaped table sprinkles. Originally priced at $8.99, my junk store price only $1.00.
I also purchased the message of love item which might be nice to tie on to a package. Original price $5.99, my price another dollar.

I found these new-oversized kitchen towels printed with a nice horse pattern. They were originally priced at $18.95 but my junk store price was $5.00. T
That’s probably a little more than I usually pay for kitchen towels but they are very large and, of course, I like the horse imprint on them.
The pot holder is also something I could use as I cook a lot and my pot holders tend to wear out or get stained.
The last item I purchased was a vintage handkerchief for one dollar.
It is old and very thin but I like the floral design and it has some green needlepoint edging the sides.
Someone put a lot of work in making a handkerchief extra pretty.
That ends my junk store shopping trip. I hope you liked the items I talked about.
