How to Unclog a Sink’s Drain During COVID-19 Times

For some reason, I always have an issue with the clogging of one bathroom sink.

During COVID-19 times, I do not want to call a plumber for a home visit unless it is absolutely necessary.

I, personally, like the old fashioned looking plungers.

I own two which I clearly mark.  One is for sink use only and the other one is for toilet use.  This way I keep toilet germs away from the sink.

Wear rubber gloves if you have them.  Right now, plastic or rubber gloves are a scarce item.

Place the plunger end firmly over the drain and add warm water until end of plunger is covered.

Plunge the sink until the clog is removed and clean the sink.  Remove any debris or hair from the sink and toss in the trash can.

Be sure to create a suction by placing your hand over the overflow hole while plunging.

The last step is to spray disinfectant spray over the sink, wait five minutes, and then respray and wipe.

Don’t forget to wash your hands after this repair.
