Flower Arrangement with Maroon Color Bulb Picks Flower Arrangement with Maroon Colored Bulb Picks

Holiday Shopping Items

This week I took advantage of the 50% to 75% off of holiday sales items offered in the junk stores.  This way I could buy the best items for the lowest price.

This photograph shows the silk flower hydrangea flower arrangement on my coffee table.  The flowers were, also, purchased second hand but what I want to point out is the maroon glass bulb flower picks.  They were half priced so I only paid .60 cents for the bunch.

After the holidays, I can just remove the picks and the flowers will stay on my table.  The maroon color also matches with my holiday pillows.

Wreath Made with Colored Bells Wreath Made with Colored Bells

I purchased this like new wreath made of multi colored bells for $7.00 which was also at half price.  It has a gold metal ribbon and a green metal sprig of holly at the top.  I saw this same wreath brand new for approximately $40.00.  Keep an open mind when shopping for holiday decorations.

The bright red, gold, silver and green colors work better in my upstairs area so I removed a kitchen picture and hung the wreath there.

It was a little off shaped but it easily bent back into form once I got it home.

In the same store, I also purchased a new roll of holiday wrapping paper for half price, (less than a dollar).

Holiday Poppers Holiday Poppers

This package of large party poppers or confetti/ribbon canons was purchased for $1.25.  The original price of this item was $5.00.

I have used these before for a New Years eve party.  They shoot out streamers and confetti.  Be sure to aim away from your face.

The poppers make a fun ending to the evening and I loved the amount of money I saved on this junk store shopping trip.

Box of Paraffin Wax Box of Paraffin Wax

This is a new box of household paraffin wax which is used to seal the top of homemade jelly jars or for candle making.  It was only .50 cents.

It doesn’t really relate to the holidays unless I decide to make some candles, but I purchased it anyway thinking I might donate it to one of my projects.  Anything at .50 cents is generally a steal.

Question of the Day – Do any of my Farmhouse Magic Blog Readers make candles?  Please reply below.  Thanks and have a great day!
