Whoops, as I am thinking about taking down my holiday mantel display over my fireplace, I realized that I never blogged about it this season.
However, if you recall from my previous blogs on this topic, I always have trouble figuring out how to decorate my mantel. The fireplace mantel is the main focus in my family room, so I want something to be show stopping but easy to do.
This year, I almost have the look I want. Not sure if I need to add lights or light colored berries or poinsettias as my display seems a bit dark against the red toned bricks.

I centered the wreath in the middle of mirror. Be sure to fluff up your bow when you take your wreath out of storage.
How To Tips on the Holiday Mantel
First I started off dusting and cleaning the mirror over my fireplace. Yes, it gets pretty dusty with a fire blazing over the winter months. For this reason, never place your good art work over a wood burning fireplace.
Then I added a snow dusted green wreath with a large white, green, and red bow. The whole wreath is wrapped with a red and gold tone bead string. I placed the wreath in front of my large gold framed mirror.
Secondly, I added the icy red berries I purchased at the garden’s center summer tent sale. I placed one on each side of my large mirror. I also added the gold tone leaf sprigs I also purchased at that same tent sale.
Thirdly, faux pine branches are placed in front of the mirror.
I left up the wooden hand painted plate as I thought it went with the current decorations. It is held by a black wooden plate holder.

What’s New in the Holiday Mantel?
This year I found several ice covered fruit picks in the secondhand store. They actually have a bit of gold paint on them, too. These were only .50 cents each. What a bargain I thought and purchased most of them.
The new icy fruit picks go nicely with the other greenery on my fireplace mantel.

Ending Notes on Holiday Mantel
I’m thinking of storing all the holiday mantel pieces together in one box, so next time I can pull them out and quickly decorate my mantel.
I’m liking the lush greenery and fruit look, but I think I might need some battery operated white pillar candles, white fairy lights, some white berries, or a little something else.
For now, my holiday mantel is still a work in progress. Hopefully, I’ll get the look I want next holiday season.
Take Care and Have a Great 2026!
