Today our feature photograph was submitted by a special person and shows her dinning room table set for the holidays in rich tones of ruby red and hunter green.
In the corner of the room, you will noticed a slim line Christmas tree decorated with peppermint pink, red and white bulbs. On the top of the tree is a large white satin ribbon.
For an extra touch, the chair backs are tied with a ruby red ribbon. This ribbon forms a nice bow in the back of each chair.
Holiday Dinning Room DecoratingThe dinning room table is set with large weave silver tone placements. Large ruby red charger plates complete the look.
The “forever” centerpiece consists of two large green Christmas trees topped with stars surrounded by an assortment of silk flowers, red berry sprigs, ruby ribbon, and greenery.
The festive dinning room is full of holiday cheer and, of course, is gorgeous to look.
How to Make Holiday Tree Napkins
With today’s holiday table setting feature, I decided to also add instructions for folding a table napkin into a Christmas tree shape. These tree napkins are very festive and easy to do.
This folding technique works with both cloth and paper napkins.
I found that solid colored table napkins work best.
Also, keep in mind, the larger the napkin, the larger the finished tree.
Holiday Tree Table NapkinDirections
Cloth Table Napkin Napkin Edges Folded UpThe first step is to fold your table napkin in to a square.
Then fold up the edges of a pointed corner leaving about an inch between folds. Each fold should be slight smaller.
Flip the napkin over to the back side. The middle point of the napkin should be pointed up.
Then fold the two sides together.
On Back Side, Slightly Overlap Fold Napkin Ready for Edges to be Folded UpFlip the napkin over again to the front side and then fold the five points up into a straight line. Now the top of the napkin is pointed down. Tuck the ends under.
You can also fold the points down depending on the look you want.
Place your holiday tree napkin in the middle of your dinner plate.
Assorted Folded Tree NapkinsI hope I have given you a few ideas for decorating your dining room.
This year, I’m definitely going to use the Christmas tree napkins on my holiday table.
