Halloween Phantom

Years and years ago, a mysterious letter and treat bag came to my house from the Halloween Phantom.

Up to this time, I have never heard of the Halloween Phantom but knew he was special, so I kept his letter for all these years.

Original Halloween Phantom Note

See the below photograph of the original Halloween Phantom note. The note is unsigned but does have a cute orange pumpkin and spider on the letter.

Included with the Halloween Phantom’s letter was a treat bag full of goodies. I remember it included candy, cookies, a fall-themed dish towel and a special small Halloween light to place in my front window.

This friend was not seen delivering the goodie bag, so to this day I don’t know for sure who delivered it.

Usually I would not eat or use anything delivered like this to my door but I had a good feeling about the “friend” so I ate and used the contents of the bag.

Sadly, I did not deliver three treat bags to my friends, but I’m also thinking there is no time limit on this right?

Possible Clue?

There were no clues to who this person or persons might be. Much later, however, I noticed the same dish towel in a friend’s home. I suspected it might be her but I never brought it up thinking the mysterious Halloween Phantom might be best to leave as a true mystery in my life.

Halloween Poem

In today’s blog I am also including a short poem. I’ve always liked this Halloween poem but I am not sure of the author. Please enjoy this poem in the spirt of Halloween.

Pumpkin, pumpkin, big and round, I’m glad you grown upon the ground.

If you would grow up in a tree, you might fall on top of me.
