Halloween in August is the title of today’s blog. Actually, I was out shopping at a local garden center when I noticed the beginnings of a section of Halloween-themed merchandise. Their Sales Associates were putting together their Halloween display. They said they haven’t receive all of their fall merchandise yet. That’s OK with Farmhouse Magic Blog, because I already noted other stores with huge Halloween displays. Plus, I enjoy seeing their creative Halloween arrangements which they always put a lot of thought and effort into.
Halloween Cat and Orange Tree
This black old-fashion cat is dressed in a clown’s costume and hat. The cat has a vintage look about it, perhaps in the 1930ish Halloween time frame. Behind him, sits an orange Halloween tree with carefully placed giant black spiders. The cat is looking up at those giant spiders. I think I would be a little cautious, too!
This is a closeup of that black cat in a clown outfit. I noticed his green eyes are a bit bloodshot.
Halloween Mini Houses
Years ago, at first you would only see Christmas decorated mini houses placed in village settings. Now, we have a whole assortment of various Halloween mini houses to select from. I believe these probably have some type of light to them. Some of the mini orange, purple or rust colored houses have eerie black trees and small pumpkins on the front lawns.
If you look to the far left, you will notice a bottle of some type of “spirits”. Interesting!
Witches & Floral Stems in Halloween in August
Since this garden store has remodeled, they now have a small glass display area around the counter.
Today they have a setting of elderly witches sitting in a bed of straw with mini fairy lights.
Looks like our witches also have large green eyes. They are holding their broomsticks ready for a ride.
This below grouping of fall themed floral stems are being displayed in black tin holders. I’m not sure if they are all fake made to look real but I liked the setting. It’s a dry harvest look.
Closing Notes on Halloween in August Blog
So, in closing, I hope you enjoyed this look at some Halloween in August merchandise arranged at this garden store.
As to what I came to look at and purchase, that’s another blog.
As always, a Big Thank You to Merrifield Garden Center for allowing me to take photographs and to blog about their garden store. Also, thank you to the Sales Associates who were very polite to step aside for a minute, so I could get some photos without people in them.
All items featured in today’s blog can be purchased at Merrifield Garden Center.
