Wow, today I was thinking about dressing up for Halloween, in particular, Halloween Hats.
If I do nothing else for my Halloween costume, I’ll put a hat on my head and I’m transformed. OK, that’s not very creative but thinking of last year I wore a straw hat with a silk black rose attached to the brim. That was my Halloween farm costume. I’ll probably do something much the same this year.
Halloween allows people of all ages to express their inner creativity, engage in community activities, and be playful. While many costumes draw on traditional themes of ghosts, witches, or monsters, others reflect the wearer’s interests or current culture.
For years while giving out Halloween candy to Trick or Treaters, I wore a white donut server’s hat which folded up flat each year for storage. Not sure if I still have that hat around the house or not.
What’s new in Halloween Hat Wear?
So, what’s new in Halloween Hat Wear you say. I like this below photograph showing not only Halloween hats but, also, other Halloween themed items.
Let’s see, there are lots of witches’ hats, two orange Halloween trees, three black birds, a small witch figurine, mugs with black birds on them, dried leaves, etc.

OK, I found a Halloween headdress I really like. It is made of twigs and silk black roses. it looks natural but also a little edgy.

This headdress is worn like a headband. The twigs have small black bats on them. This headdress also has a small black veil on the back.
This green-toned witches’ hat is loaded with black feathers, a black silk flower and lots of interest. This hat is priced at $84.99.

Concluding Remarks on Halloween Hats
I remember one Halloween when my dad brought home two black handmade wizard costumes. The pointed black wizard hats had yellow stars and half-moons on them. They were well-made and you could tie them under your chin with two yellow straps. The costume part reminded one of a black poncho.
And so, we end up another Halloween tale. Here at Farmhouse Magic Blog, we are thinking of Halloween hats, and other things that go bump in the night.
Happy Early Halloween!
A Big Thank You to Merrifield Garden Center for allowing me to blog and take photographs at their garden store. As always, they have outdone themselves with a gorgeous but scary Halloween Display. All items on today’s blog photographs are available at their garden center.

A box full of different silk black butterflies. A grouping of these black butterflies would look terrific on many Halloween hats.
