Halloween Eve

Halloween Eve

It’s Halloween Eve in Farmhouse Magic Blog country, so I thought a few spooky decorations are in order. So, what’s new in the neighbor only one street over. Here’s what I found.

Giant Spiders and Web

I always like these giant spiders complete with spider webs.

The edge of the rope-like spider web is attached to a tree branch. There is also some plastic “iron gate” pieces which are scattered about the yard.

But the real stars of this web decoration are the giant black fuzzy-looking spiders.

Toppled Giant Blow Up Figure

In this next photograph, I note that a white giant blow-up figure rests on its back. I think the wind was too strong or perhaps it wasn’t securely pegged. Unfortunately, it now rests on its back.

I’m not sure what the figure represents but I’m thinking it is a white frightening tree or ghost.

However, there is enough time for the homeowner to get the figure back on its feet for tomorrow’s trick or treaters.

Behind that toppled figure is a blow-up black cat with wings.

Garden Ghosts

On Halloween Eve these ghosts are hiding in the garden ready to pop up and cause a bit of mischief. They are not too scary or too friendly.

These garden ghosts look about right for Halloween Eve.

Bloody Heads on Halloween Eve

And the scariest looking Halloween Eve decoration is the bloody head which hangs from a tree branch. Actually, there are two bloody hanging heads from this one tree. To my eye, the heads look very realistic and frightening with blood oozing down the netting.

I’m thinking this Halloween Eve decoration is both unique, homemade and totally eerie.

It looks like they used some type of white Styrofoam form for the head which they covered in a cheesecloth like material. Lastly, the red paint was added around the eye sockets and under the neck. The fake red blood drips down the netting.

Ending Notes on Halloween Eve

I hope you enjoyed these Halloween decorations.

I think the groups of trick or treaters will, also, enjoy the extra effort these homeowners put in. It gives the neighborhood kids a near frightening experience while picking up those mini candy bars.

Almost, Happy Halloween!
