Boy, it’s that time again when seniors graduate and families have a Graduation Party. Yesterday attended a wonderful graduation party in Maryland.
It’s always a bittersweet moment when children grown up and move on to bigger and better. Getting on with their lives, having careers, and first time employment in their fields. They actually get to see what they trained for in college for. Some even move on to graduate school. Then there are other grads that move to new locations of the country to pursue their dreams.
Catered Event
The meal for this graduation party was totally catered and everything was tasty. There was a salad with cheese slivers and colorful cherry tomatoes, an eggplant and squash bake, beef kabobs on wooden skewers, chicken, mini rolls and more. Quite a few people watch their carbohydrates, so the smaller crispy rolls were perfect in size.
Everyone used square disposable plates and silver toned plastics utensils.
It was a hot afternoon, so they had set up large tents to shield people from the sun and also from possible rain storms. Fortunately, the sky remained clear and there was no rain.
I chatted with a lady who I had not seen in almost 30 years. We both recognized each other, so I guess we still looked the same. OK, sort of.
Ending Notes on the Graduation Party
Of course, this day brings back memories of my own graduation. Let’s see I remember getting into the car wearing my cap and gown. OK, took the that hat off to drive to the college. While working full time, it took me forever to graduate, so I was well ready to move on.
But for today, I enjoyed the party, the fun and food.
Now next, week things for the graduate will take on a different tone–school days are over and graduates blend into the work force.
An interesting note on this Graduation Party is a family farmer attended this event, so everyone got to take home some freshly picked mini zucchini squash. Nice take home treat! Thanks!
Congratulations to all 2024 Graduates and Have a Wonderful Career and Life!
