The holiday season is quickly approaching so, I thought I would share this unique golden holiday tree. I don’t believe I have ever seen a golden tree although I have seen lots of sliver trees during the holiday season. In fact, years ago, silver artificial trees were quite popular and so 1950’s ish.
So, I’m bringing you a few items I recently viewed at one of my favorite garden centers.
Golden Holiday Tree Plus Other Garden Items
One of the first things I noticed was this row of paperwhite narcissist plants. Each plant is topped with lovely white flowers.
When I was single, I would plant several paperwhite bulbs every holiday in large terracotta crocks. I had a glass topped table that I pushed close to the window, so they could get some sun. Otherwise, my dwelling was dark, uninsulated, and very cold. I believe the double row house was built in 1895. But my paperwhite grew well at that location.

I also noticed these pots of Lavender and Rosemary holiday herbs. In my area, many times the Rosemary herb survives the winter. Generally, I have one growing in a crock on my patio as I like to use clipping for cooking and for food presentation.

These holiday herb pots of Rosemary and Lavender make nice gifts, or you can buy one for yourself. These herbs smell great, look healthy plus they are trimmed in the shape of holiday trees.
However, the bright yellow poinsettia bracts really got my full attention.

Nothing says the holiday more than poinsettias. Really, I like these bright yellow poinsettias.
This display table shows Wintergreen, a low-growing, evergreen native to North America. It has attractive right red berries and glossy, dark green leaves. It has a minty smell. The plant thrives in shady soil. This plant provides a good food source for wildlife. It also attracts pollinators.
Wintergreen produces red berries in the fall which persist through the winter.

The Golden Holiday Tree
The golden holiday tree is located in the indoor greenhouse section along with the other artificial holiday trees. I’ curious about what type of ornaments one should use with a gold toned tree. Perhaps silver tone?
