Gigantic Girl, Dog, and a Frisbee Sculpture

This playful two-piece sculpture has always been one of my favorite pieces in the area.

It is located in front of the Fair Lakes Shopping Center on a bright well-kept green lawn.

I’ve always wanted a closer look as I see it from a busy roadway in front of the shopping center.

Today I grabbed my phone camera and headed over.

The girl is wearing a pink top, blue jeans, and pink tennis shoes.  She is probably about ten feet tall as I come up to about her elbow.

She is in motion as her blond hair swings back for the throw.  She tosses the Frisbee to her playful tan and white dog.

The dog, loving the game of catch, jumps on his hind legs to grab the Frisbee in his mouth.

However, if you look at the side view angle, you will notice the girl and dog are only two-dimensional and measure about four inches thick.

It is an interesting visual work of art and I love the whimsical message of play it conveys.
