I decided to give Farmhouse Magic Blog Readers a peek into my garden.
I haven’t really talked much about the asparagus.
This comes up in the spring but there are only a few stems. There isn’t enough for a full meal.
The asparagus needs to be replanted in richer soil. The soil in this patch has a lot of red clay to it.
One asparagus stem is rather curvy. I wonder why it is growing that way?
We have a pretty good crop of green leaf lettuce coming up.
This was planted by seed a couple of weeks ago.
Nothing tastes better than a salad made with homegrown lettuce.
Green Leaf LettuceIf you look closely in this photograph, you will notice the formation of small green strawberries on this plant.
I can hardly wait until the berries get ripe.
This is a small cement bunny garden sculpture.
He lost a ear which I cemented back on.
So far, it has been holding up but I don’t dare pick him up by the ears.
Bunny Garden FigureI hope you enjoyed this look into my garden.
Happy Gardening to All!
Enjoy a cup of java or tea in your garden.
Crocks on PatioOver Charge of the Week? COVID-19 Prices?
Four Pounds of Granulated SugarFarmhouse Magic Blog paid approximately $15 for four pounds of granulated sugar.
It was delivered to my home and came in this nice plastic container.
Does anyone else think this is over priced?
I’ve been without sugar for weeks now, so I broke down and bought it.
UPDATE ON 5-8-2020 – I finally got a regular four pound bag of sugar for a decent price. I made some homemade banana bread.
