Before Crossing over the Key Bridge, we decided to stop in to see the Francis Scott Key Park which is located in Georgetown.
It’s a small park with some benches and a nice view of the Key Bridge.

This stone plaque was dedicated to Francis Scott Key.

We then walked over the bridge to return to the Metro.
The bridge has metal bars along the walkway to prevent anyone from falling in the water.
The view from the middle of the Key Bridge was pretty spectacular.
It was a clear day and you could see the Potomac River in all directions.
This photograph is of the Key Bridge right before you enter the state of Virginia.
Many people daily cross this bridge.
