Mystery Object – What is It?
While out browsing at the second hand store, I discovered this object. Now, I am asking my readers, what is this puzzling object?
It is a very old looking wooden box with a bi-folding door on top. Could it be some type of vintage electrical equipment? Or did it contain something of importance? Did the box relate to something scientific?
Inside of the Mystery Object – Light Bulbs
12-17-2019 Update on Mystery Object:
I decided to return for a second look at the mystery object and noticed that the box has at least two light bulbs inside. The handle also comes down over the mystery object’s lid.
One bystander guessed it was a light bulb tester. I don’t think that is quite right. Is it some type of door bell?
My Dad would have loved this object since it is sturdy, extremely heavy, and well made. It obviously lasted through years and years of use.
I believe it is some type of press with a circular wheel. Perhaps part of a printing press? Or part of an old submarine door? (Now that second idea is a bit of a stretch.)
Bedroom Mirrors
This last photograph is of two bedroom dressers mirrors.
I like the fancy carving a little better on the mirror in front. Looks vintage and sort of Victorian.
Is this an ancient washing machine (missing some parts)?

Thank you for your comment on the mystery object. I don’t think it is large enough to be a washing machine. The mystery object was about the size of two shoe boxes. However, that is a good guess. Farmhouse Magic Blogger actually has no clue as to what the mystery object was used for. I hope one of my readers can clue me in. Have a wonderful day!
