Today I attended a fall vegetable garden seminar given by the owner of Pocket Farms.
It was surprising how many vegetables can be planted in the fall. Broccoli, kale, lettuce, spinach, and carrots to name a few.
She also talked about preparing the soil organically and keeping the weeds out of the garden by using various plant covers. A planting of buck wheat was, also, suggested to improve soil conditions.
The seminar was very interesting with a lot of information given out.
For your information, pumpkins take a long time to mature and are usually planted in June.
Sorry everyone no fall pumpkin or watermelon plantings.
