Happy Easter 2026! It’s still early morning, but I thought I would get started on today’s blog.
So, let’s begin with the holiday decorations. Unfortunately, things went up at the last moment but not to worry. I’ll get organized next year.
Easter 2026 Decorations
I went with a simple table decoration. First, I started with a long white table runner. Secondly, I added a second smaller floral runner.
I added the large pale yellow ceramic cake stand which I purchased years ago from Williams Sonoma. It has a lily pattern on it. On top of that I placed a small wooden basket filled with faux eggs. Also, on that cake stand are two white toy bunnies and one yellow chick.

In front of the cake stand are small metal molds filled with speckled faux eggs. I tried to use natural looking eggs for my centerpiece.
Of course, I also have on the wall my white grape vine bunny wreath which is not shown.
Easter Menu
Let’s see what is on the menu for today. So far, I have nothing premade, so things might get a little busy.
I wanted to make a strawberry pie, but I only found the strawberries but not the needed strawberry glaze. However, let’s keep things simple. Apparently, this sweet pie is a favorite Southern recipe that kids love. I’ll try to make it another time.
Note – Today, I want to make some type of pasta or mac & cheese side dish for a change. We always have same mashed potatoes. Farmhouse Magic Blog needs a little menu variety in life.
Easter Menu
- Spiral Sliced Ham
- Sliced Sweet Potatoes
- Fresh Asparagus
- Sugar Free Strawberry Gelatin topped with Fresh Strawberries and Whipped Cream
- Flavored Water, Soda, and Coffee
Easter Basket
While out shopping for strawberries, I noted that the store’s holiday candy was on sale. So, I purchased several things off the sales display and placed them in a basket. Now I have a bargain basket of sweet treats. The carrot shaped jellybean and candy-coated almonds bags were marked down to only $1 each. I believe it was a $7 savings. I, also, picked up a couple bags of lime-flavored cookies for half price or $2.50.

Ending Notes for Easter 2026
As soon as I get the meal served today, I’ll be sure to include a few photographs from that.
I remember those great egg hunts I held in my backyard. I filled lots of eggs with candy or other goodies and let the kids all run all over the yard to find them. One or two eggs would have a dollar bill in it. I also added small puff ball toy chicks to the eggs. I never liked the filled eggs to be out in the yard for long, so I always had a guest hide the eggs right before the egg hunt.
If I had some very young children, then I would give them a few minutes “head start”. In only a few minutes, all the eggs were found, and the children’s baskets were filled with colorful plastic eggs. That brings a smile to my face.
Happy Bunny Day Everyone!
