Driving Through Upperville

We were in wine county this week.  I took this photograph of a cidery and distillery.

There is quite a lot to know about making cider.

A cidery is a place where cider is made commercially.

There are even certain cider apples one can use in the process.

We, also, passed many wineries with well-tended grape vines usually seen from the road.

Some of these photographs are from Upperville.

Upperville is only 50 miles outside of Washington, DC.  It is charming but also has an upscale twinkle to it.

I loved the above photograph of a house with a white picket fence.

Real estate properties in Upperville are unique with acreage.  Prices range from about 2 to 15 million dollars.

The area is bucolic and some of the houses we passed had horses or cattle in the corrals.

Upperville is well known is equestrian circles.

No one seemed in a rush and the afternoon flowed on.

I would have liked to given my Farmhouse Magic Blog Readers a blog entry on a winery or cidery but, with things the way they are with COVID-19, we were not stopping today.

Perhaps another time when things are better with the world.
