Decorating – Using What You Have

Using What You Have

It makes smart decorating sense to use what you already own to pull together your rooms.

This is a photograph of my downstairs bathroom.

The large framed vase art work came from a junk store, not sure what I paid for it but it was under $10.  I found the three vintage postcards in a second hand shop for 50 cents each.  I purchased cheap unpainted frames and painted them all a matching brown color and then added the vintage postcards.  I really like the top vintage postcard which shows a group of horseback riders on the trail in Skyland, VA.  The second postcard is Play Land at Night in Wildwood by the Sea, New Jersey.  The third postcard is of the Y.M.C.A. in Jersey City, New Jersey.

The large olive-green bowl containing the rolled towels was a gift.  All the towels came from the second hand stores except for the two rolled white hand towels which were also a gift from a friend.

Nicely decorated bathroom nook.  No credit cards involved.
