So, this past weekend we came across a table set up selling bottles of creamed honey produced by Loudoun Honey. Scott Rutt, the beekeeper, gave out free honey samples for all that wanted a sweet taste.
According to Scott, honey comes in a variety of colors and flavors. The below bottles of sample honey are all from different seasons of the year. Loudoun honey is produced from local beehives and wildflowers. Some different types of honey are sourwood honey, Tupelo honey, clover honey, gallberry honey and Orange Blossom Honey.

More Information on Loudoun Honey
According to their website, at Loudoun Honey, their beekeeping goes back to 1985. They produce raw honey using only a light filter to remove impurities. They do not heat or pasteurize their honey, so it retains its total natural taste.
Secondly, the bees also keep Loudoun’s agricultural sector buzzing by pollinating trees, fruits, flowers, and vegetables. Lastly, the company offers nationwide shipping of their products.

What is Creamed Honey?
I wasn’t sure what creamed honey is, so I checked out their website. Apparently, creamed honey is made with pure honey which has been crystalized to make it smooth and easy to spread.
This type of honey is sometimes called whipped honey or honey butter. It can be enjoyed on crackers, toast, fruit, meats, cheeses, desserts and, of course, tea.
All in all, creamed honey is made plain but, also, comes in flavors like vanilla, cinnamon, lemon and lavender.
