Closed Neighborhood Play Areas – COVID-19

I took a walk this weekend and looked at this cute, but empty, play area.  Apparently the theme is dinosaurs.

Due to COVID-19 many play areas in my region are closed.  There is no way to clean this play area between children.

I liked this photograph of a dinosaur built for two children.  The plastic dinosaur is on a large spring for rocking action.

This is a “bone” climbing wall uses plastic vertebrae instead of rocks.

There is also an alphabet  chart on top of this climbing area.

A lot of thought went into setting up this play area and thinking about what children really love.

This cute plastic rocking worm is made for one small child.

It’s eerie to see no children on this play area.

There is, also, a sign that says the play area is closed until further notice.

This is an unusual orange bouncing area.  I guess the child steps on the platform and holds on to the the circle to bounce.

Hopefully, better days are ahead as far as the coronavirus goes, and at some point we will be able tor reopen all play areas for children.

I miss the voices of happy children at play.
