Christmas Past

So, here we go down memory lane with today’s Christmas Past blog since I heard from a good friend. I haven’t spoken to her in a while, but everyone has been busy with life. I probably worked with her for about ten years, then I married, and moved out of state. Let’s see I’ve been gone for close to 35 years.

Christmas Past Friendship

I was thinking about this person as I sent out my few holiday cards this year. I added a PS with my cell phone number. So, that’s how I received my phone call because she was thinking about me, too. She didn’t have my phone number either.

What better time to catch up on what’s new in our lives than the holidays. Things never stay the same, life always changes. And just like Christmas past, we remembered the good times working together, the great people we worked with, and how dedicated our team was.

And we stayed true to our roots. She always loved her pets, and she was surprised I remembered Cricket, her dog, from decades ago. To this day, she continues to foster dogs needing some tender loving care and a good home.

Ending Notes on Friendship

Of course, we talked a bit about celebrating every holiday at work. And even if there was a month without a holiday, we found something we could celebrate. We all baked cookies and put juice or soda out. There was always instant coffee to drink, however, I never acquired a taste for that. My friend even fondly remembered ordering birthday cakes. She remembered that some of these individuals never received a birthday cake before. It gladdened by heart to hear this as I had forgotten about our birthday cakes.

So how did we leave things? It was so good to talk to you and Merry Christmas my dear friend. And I say ditto to this.
