What exactly is Christmas in July? I remember a card store I frequently shopped at would have a Christmas in July sale on left over holiday merchandise mainly old unsold Christmas cards and wrapping paper. I could generally find a thing or two I needed but my heart was not into shopping. My neighbor, who moved to another state, occasionally would send me a Christmas in July Christmas card with a note on all the things her family was doing. I personally thought that was a great idea since I had time to go over her photograph and letter.
This blog photograph shows a box of vintage tree ornaments I bought last year at a second hand store. Each ornament is huge and festive, some have a usual rosy pink color.
Myself, I like frosty glasses of ice tea while sitting on the patio in July. For Christmas, I like Christmas with all the lights, music, cookies, and good will.
Christmas in July? No, I don’t think that is going to catch on with me.
