This photograph shows the set up for an at home video studio session.
With everyone being home bound, the studio is actually in a bedroom.
This is a two camera set up on tripods along with bright lights.
The lap top was programmed to project a black and white checkered pattern on the wall.
This would give the video a little background interest.
This photograph shows a sound blimp. Today it was my job to hold to sound blimp while the video was taping.
The blimp covering insulates and protects sounds from harsh wind, however, it was not needed in today’s indoor production. It is generally used outside if it is a windy day.
I haven’t seen the edited film video but, hopefully, the video and sound turned out OK.
Sound Blimp Brush for Sound BlimpAdditional Note: I never realized that the sound blimp came with a brush to keep it neat looking. Amazing!

Hollywood Movie Production
It might be hard to believe but Farmhouse Magic Blog was actually a movie extra in a well known sports comedy movie. That sounds a lot more glamorous than it actually was.
I did, however, get to see Paul Newman in person and snapped a couple of pictures of him even though we were not to take any photographs.
I was paid to be in the crowd scene with a bunch of other people in the ice skating arena. On cue, all we did was cheer the ice hockey team on and we did it over and over and over again. It was surprising how many times they filmed the same scenes.
I wore a brown coat with a big wool collar but as many times as I have watched the movie, I’ve never seen myself in the crowd scene.
Oh well, I guess Hollywood was just never in my cards. It was an interesting experience and I was glad I “played hooky” to get a fleeting chance at movie stardom.
