This week I was in Pennsylvania and stood in front the restored Arcadia Theater in Windber, PA.
I have always liked old buildings with lots of history to them.
The Arcadia Theater opened in 1921 and was designed by Henry Reinhold and Ralph Land.
Over the years, the Arcadia Theater hosted many Vaudeville acts and cinema events. The theater was sold in 1963.

In 1998 the Eureka Coal Heritage Foundation purchased the theater with the idea of restoring it. They studied old photographs to restore it to its original splendor.
Today the theater has been restored and is now open. The theater has a new light and sound system but retains its old “magic” charm.
We all know, Farmhouse Magic Blog believes in the magical elements of life.
Presently, the Arcadia Theater seems to host a lot of tributes to famous people.
I noticed that there was also an Elvis impersonator that was previously featured.
Unfortunately, I did not come during theater visiting hours and no one was present. I was hoping for a tour of the building.

The restoration of the historic Arcadia Theater also brings a smile to my face.
