A Walk in the Park – A Visit to Ellanor C. Lawrence Park – Deer Exclosure Fencing

This week, I decided to visit Ellanor C. Lawrence Park and take a hike on one of their nature trails.

The park is absolutely breathtakingly full of nature at its finest.

You have the option of hiking over several paths in the woods.

Crossing a Bridge Crossing a Bridge

While meandering over well marked paths, you go over bridges and up steps to a large pond.

If you get tired along the way, there are also benches for a rest break.

Several picnic tables and benches are available if you wish to eat a snack or lunch at the park.

Bathrooms are located in the Visitor Center.

If you look closely in this photograph, you will notice some deer exclosure fencing.

This fencing will keep the deer out of a particular area so they will not eat the new growth.

Apparently quite a few deer reside in the park.

However, I didn’t see any during my hike.

This is my favorite part of the park.  These huge cement blocks form a path one can take to cross the creek.

The water is a little high right now so you might get your feet wet.  It would be better to wait until the weather warms up for that.  However, you can always cross over using the near by bridge.

I came back from my hike feeling refreshed and energized.

I would highly recommend Ellanor C. Lawrence Park to any one who loves a hike in a great park.

Please note, I did very little photo editing on this blog.  The nature scenes in this park are absolutely lovely.
