Oh well, it’s nearing October soon and starting fall decorating is on today’s agenda. For some reason, I’m never ahead when it comes to decorating this time of year. It’s just too pretty outside to spend all my days cleaning indoors and decorating.
Plus, now I am thinking about a ton of home improvement projects which need to be accomplished before winter’s chill.
However, as far as may good intentions go, right now I’m about back to square one with my decorating. Please let me explain when I was all finished, I accidently spilled a full glass of water over my table decorations. Boy, how did I do that? Anyway, I pulled the runners off the table and tossed them both in the wash.
I took photographs before spilling the water, so I’ll continue on with my Fall Decorating plan. (Yes, even at Farmhouse Magic Blog we those moments.)
Dining Room Table
Starting fall decorating always begins at my dining room table. This year I am using two table runners. My newer black Pottery Barn table runner covers the table first, then a smaller stripped table runner is folded in half and placed on top of the black table runner.
Instead of hanging my faux cotton wreath on the wall, I placed it on a rattan cake/cheese stand. Then faux pumpkins were added to the cake stands and scattered over the table. This year I am also adding a few faux pears. Yes, they really look real.
A few silk leaves were randomly tossed over the display. I’m thinking that’s looking good and probably completes the display.

Ending Note on Starting Fall Decorating Blog
This centerpiece table decoration works for two holiday celebrations both Halloween and Thanksgiving. I’ll probably add an off-white tablecloth at some point.
But for now, I need to check the washing machine to see if things are washed.
Tomorrow, back to square one, right?

Happy Fall Decorating and get those faux pumpkins and fall leaves out of storage. However, please don’t spill your water glass.
