As I flipped the calendar to March, I noted it is almost spring. Actually, March 20th marks the first day of spring. So, it was time again to visit one of my favorite garden centers to see the new spring merchandise.
I hope you enjoy reading about the unique items I found on this shopping trip.
Springtime Fashion
First, I noted that there were several pieces of springtime fashionwear in the store.
In particular, I loved their bright flowered robes. I believe there are orange daylilies or Asian lilies printed on the material of the below photographed robe. I’m giving extra points to the manufacturer of this robe because I like realistic looking flowers.

I also loved the well-made straw bags. The bags have tags on that they’re made in Morocco. The straw bags are accented with neutral color leather pieces. The larger bags would be great for shopping, vacationing, or carrying items to the pool.

The smaller straw and leather accented bags are near the top of the display pole while the larger bags were placed on the bottom rungs.
I wish I would have taken a closer look at these blinged out headbands as now I think I want one. You need to be a fast shopper in this store, because things sell out quickly. Headbands are nice because it is a quick fix on a bad hair day. The orange display head is wearing one of the blinged out headbands while the others are on the round display table.
I generally wear plain black headbands, but I think these dazzling beaded headbands are perfect for spring or summertime use. What girl doesn’t like a bit of bling?

Almost Spring – Merchandise
I noted this colorful spring wreath tucked in back on this display shelf. Notice the eggs are in natural tones of brown and blue.

On this photograph, there are also some almost spring faux tulips in a vase and a fluffy white lamb.
Next, I noted the display of spring and summer time faux flowers on this white chair. Although it is not apparent on this photograph, the faux hydrangeas have a bit of sparkling glitter on the leaves.
In the container next to the chair is a large floral container of magnolia flowers and green leaves. The flowers look like they were dried but I think they are probably faux silk flowers.

I found this butterfly box to be fascinating. On the left, there are Little Bee Houses and on the right Little Ladybug Houses. That makes one think about where do butterflies go when they want to rest for the night?
I’ve seen a very large bee house at the garden of the farm I volunteer at. Not sure if it is the flowers or the large bee box that attracts the bees. However, we always have lots of bees and other pollinators in that area of the garden.

Closing Notes on Almost Spring Blog
Wow, I really enjoy my shopping trip today. I guess you are wondering what I purchased, right?
A load of firewood and a package of those strawberry seedlings. Yes, they also sell out fast and we really, really want to eat fresh strawberries this year.

Happy Almost Spring!
A Big Thank You to Merrifield Garden Center for allowing me to blog and take photographs at their happy store.
