I was out for a drive today and noticed this outdoor eating area in the back of a restaurant. This area is quite near a public parking area.
Due to covid-19, restaurants have to limit the number of patrons they can sit indoors. A solution was to add outdoor tables and chairs.
This area is defined by large concrete barrier blocks which have been colorfully painted and positioned around the patio.
The cement barricade blocks have been painted in a patch work pattern. A holiday garland and red bows decorate the blocks but I think these were probably left over from the holiday.
Outdoor Dinning AreaTo me, this is an example of “Art is Where you Find It”.
Not sure if this art work was done by the town of Herndon or if the restaurant wanted to liven things up by painting it.
Long View of Art Work Herndon and Pink Heart
I didn’t notice an artist name on the work and it reminds me a little of graffiti.
The artist incorporated quite a few peace symbols in the design.
