While out secondhand shopping this weekend, we found this unusual side table with five legs. OK, it is almost a perfect match with our larger round living room table. It is similar yet different. This helps to keep our decorated rooms interesting. This side table was priced at only $35. So, the price is right for our condo bachelor decorating project and it came home with us.
Round Tables – Similar Yet Different – Unusual Side Table
Our new side table matches up almost perfectly with the previously purchased round coffee table.
I immediately liked this unusual side table because the top was large enough to safely accommodate a large lamp and other items. The tabletop is also permanently attached to the bottom legs.
I love the unusual black rod table legs. The five metal legs each have three parts and they form a triangular shape.
Interestingly, the two tabletops look almost identical. However, the coffee tabletop is not wood but seems similar to vinyl wood products. I looked online for a round table with five legs but could not anything.
The side table tabletop needs a good cleaning and perhaps waxing. I’m not sure what type of wood it is made from.
Ending Notes and Comments on Unusual Side Table
I think this one-of-a-kind end table looks great in our condo living room. It has a chip of paint missing from one table leg, so we are going to have to fix that up at some point. Black spray paint will probably fix that chip.
In summary, our living room is decorated right on budget. Our once empty living room is now filled with useful and attractive furniture. We are still looking for two comfortable matching small chairs. So, far we haven’t come across any secondhand chairs that will fit our modern look. If we do, we will switch out the cheaper chairs.
We, also, need some small pieces of artwork or baskets to fill out that free bookcase.
Next, we are looking for pieces for decorating the dining room. Also, keeping with our skimpy decorating budget, we might look at some type of secondhand mini storage pieces for our dining room. However, it all depends on what “treasure” we find on our shopping trips.
But as we all know, to save money sometimes one has to think outside the usual decorating box.
